My Business

I have a confession:  I do not sell 100-200 homes a year like some real estate agents do.   I do not have an extensive budget to promote myself on the radio.  I do not have 15 team members to do all the work for me.   This is simply not how I choose to run my business.  I have no interest in gaining the trust of a client just to hand them off to someone that may or may not uphold the high standards that I demand.

My interests are obtaining the results my clients expect, attention to every detail from listing to closing & ultimately obtaining highest satisfaction of my clients.  When you are a client of mine, you get ME.  This means I will work for you and I will actually call you back!  What I do ask of my clients is to let everyone they know how their experience was with me.  This is how I prefer to market myself.  As a result, more than 60% of my business comes from referrals.

If you are looking for a slick, high pressure, salesperson to be your agent, please keep looking, I am not that person.

My Commitment to My Clients

Buying or selling a home is not easy.  In fact, it is an enormous undertaking.

There is much more beyond the activities leading up to an offer.  Inspectors, appraisers, attorneys, lenders, insurance agents, title companies, & closing agents are just a few of the individuals that are involved with the process along with literally hundreds of tasks.

My commitment to my clients is to work with all parties to simplify the process and avoid or minimize the bumps along the way, remaining professional, calm, and courteous along the way.

Will there be challenges?  Probably.  I am here to minimize those.

Even though my license states that I am a “Salesperson”, I refuse to accept that.  A salesperson sells products.  A home is so much more than a piece of property, it is where you and your family live and build memories.  I offer so much more to my clients.  I will be your partner, your advocate, and your advisor.  I will always be honest with you, even if you may not like the message.  I will recommend partners (attorneys, inspectors, contractors, etc.), that have the same commitment to you as I do.

It may sound cliché, but my clients really are my #1 priority.

My name is Jim Kontopodias and I am a 20+ year resident of Franklin Township.  I graduated Summa Cum Laude in Computer Information Systems and had a successful management career in the corporate world.  But I always felt as though I was being held back, so it was time to branch out on my own.  I created my Real Estate business and never looked back.

I am an animal lover.  I have two rescue dogs, and will stop everything to help an animal in need.  I recall a time when I was driving clients around town and immediately pulled over to rescue a turtle crossing a busy road.  I think my clients thought I was a bit crazy, but hey, that is who I am.

I love to be outside.  I love hiking, exploring, and discovering new things.  I love to travel, but rarely have enough time.

People that know me know that I do everything myself, time permitting.  I repair and restore cars, I have completely renovated my own home, I built my own computer, and I even designed and wrote this web-site.  I will never stop learning.  My real estate business gets the same treatment.  My business is never stagnated, I am never satisfied, and maintaining the status quo means I am falling behind.  If you were to list or buy your home with me now, you can be certain in five years, my methods would have changed.
